9/11: The Myth and the Reality is Griffin’s best overview of the case disproving the official story of 9/11. Ideal for beginners, it can also deepen anyone’s understanding of why the 9/11 issue is challenging, yet ultimately liberating.
Featuring Dr. David Ray Griffin
Produced, Directed, and edited by Ken Jenkins of 9-11TV.org.
This presentation was delivered twice, both times to sold out audiences – on March 30, 2006, at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, CA, and on April 3, 2006 at The Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.
“Although I am a philosopher of religion and theologian, I have spent most of my time during the past three years [now nine years] on 9/11—studying it, writing about it, and speaking about it. In this lecture, I will try to make clear why I believe this issue worthy of so much time and energy. I will do this in terms of the distinction between myth and reality.”
Griffin continued: “Given the role the official account of 9/11 has played and continues to play, the most important question before our country today is whether this account…is a myth in the pejorative sense—that is, whether it is simply false.”
Griffin then outlined and detailed nine of the many myths in the official story of the 9/11 attacks that are demonstrably false.
He concludes: “The official story of 9/11, serving as a national religious Myth, has been used to justify two wars, which have caused many tens of thousands of deaths; to start a more general war on Islam, in which Muslims are considered guilty until proven innocent; to annul and violate civil rights; and to increase our military spending, which was already greater than that of the rest of the world combined, by hundreds of billions of dollars, partly so that weapons can be put into space.
“Congress needs to put the implementation of these policies on hold until there is a truly independent investigation, carried out by qualified individuals who are not members of the very circles that, if 9/11 truly was a false flag operation, planned it, carried it out, and then covered it up.”
David Ray Griffin’s talk 9/11: The Myth and the Reality was given at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland, California on March 30, 2006 to a sold out audience. A slightly shorter version of the same talk was given April 3rd at the prestigious Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, also to SRO audience.
These two presentations were videotaped with six cameras at both locations, and seamlessly combined by 9/11 filmmaker Ken Jenkins, who also illustrated the film documentary-style with hundreds of graphics and video clips.
Many consider this video to be the definitive Griffin 9/11 DVD. It serves as the Loose Change for the older generations.
Griffin condensed the highlights of his first two books on 9/11* into this dynamic presentation.
